The girls' ensemble of Eastern Hills sang their sentiments in the song, You'll Never Walk Alone. Later, Mr. Johnson awarded diplomas to the first graduating class of 'Eastern Hills High School. Hundred Fort -Three Graduation marked the close of many mem- orable associations. Commencement opened the door for tomorrow and its world. Thus, the first,graduation of Eastern Hills came to a close. lt seemed that the year had passed all too quickly. Yet, each graduate knew that the Highlander spirit would live on in his heart as had the words, All for one, and one for all.

Judge Atwood McDonald pre- sented a scholarship to Mar- tha Meissner. Tommy Bratcher also received an honor scholarship. Tom Paukert aid tribute to P the graduates' parents. Giving the benediction, Beth Bourdonnay formally closed the first Commencement ex- ercises. As strains of God of Our Fathersv filled the air, ,lane Bates and Wayne Carter, followed by others of the Senior class, marched to their reserved seats for Baccalaureate services. nd raduates ne Baccalaureate sermon was given by Rev. N. H. Kupferle, seated here to the right of Mr. Johnson and Rev. Stanley Brown.
