Wishing wells and flowers deco- rated the Colonial Country Club for the dinner dance. Y-Teens raised money at the April in Parisi' dance to pay for baseball uni- forms. Y-Teens also presented L'Welcome to Springf, a fashion show carried out through a Japanese theme. Miss Bakeris chorus presented a religious Easter pro- gram just before the Easter holidays. Wooden boxes painted gray with blue drawings of the school and athletic activities, were made and filled with useful ar- ticles for overseas shipment by the Red Cross. A number of trophies and cups were presented to the school by all who had earned them. At the program for the presentation of the Na- tional Honor Society charter, Nancy Armstrong handed Mrs. Tucker an un-abridged dictionary to be presented to Mr. Meacham, retiring Assistant Sup- erintendent of Schools, who was guest speaker of the occasion. 23
