Best-dressed cowpoke was Pete Reaves while Ron- nie Mason had the best beard on Ranch Day. For best-dressed special wear, Sharon Reeves took honors and for best-dressed everyday wear, Carol Spina took the award. Two long-awaited events took place-the High- land Fling and ordering of senior rings. Many students and teachers Worked hard and long to achieve the first successful talent show. Seniors brought deposits and ordered 1960 class rings. Beards, boots, cowboy hats and chaps became the mode for Ranch Day. The Highlandettes sponsored the election of a King and Queen of Hearts who were crowned at a Valentine dance. s Februar Entertains In the Highland Fling, Cooking Maria, Donna Rankin, had two very helpful assistants, Judy Wall and Judy Akers. David Bauguess served as recipe writer for the unscrupulous cook. After completing a good season in football, the team proudly put on the first blue and gray letter jackets which had just been presented to them in assembly.

First Semester Busy little bees painted up high on the Highland Fling sets. Jim Le Beau and Tony Bro don applied paint to the sky of the Scottish landscape While some were still trying to get a good schedule for the spring semester, the remaining students went to Pat's. Tommy Bratcher threatened to drink hot sauce under the watchful eyes of a few unbelievers.
