lo ous The air was full of the spirit of the season. Many classes donated canned food and money for needy families. Miss Baker and the chorus presented a beautiful pro- gram on the last day before Christmas vacation. In the front hall, the traditional tree was placed in time for the football banquet. Seniors sold candy to help pay for the senior banquet in the spring. All mem- bers of dramatics class were re- quired to give one-act plays and two top plays were given to the entire school. Y-Teen girls and dates attended the formal Christ- mas dance at the Y.W.C.A. Fresh Christmas cakes, cookies, and candy were sold by the Girls' Recrea- tion Association to buy baseball uniforms. Beth Bourdonnay, Nancy Abshire and Carolyn Ransom assist Miss Moore and Miss Crump in the sale. U-M-M-M, Good!! Teachers eat heartily at the faculty feast, cooked and served by the home- making classes. The room took on a seasonal look with candles and Christmas-decorated cacti. I7

First Semester Busy little bees painted up high on the Highland Fling sets. Jim Le Beau and Tony Bro don applied paint to the sky of the Scottish landscape While some were still trying to get a good schedule for the spring semester, the remaining students went to Pat's. Tommy Bratcher threatened to drink hot sauce under the watchful eyes of a few unbelievers.
