Mathematics A person seldom sees our famous lake Burnham, Russell Schneider, Don Wheeler, Herbert Fox, Maynard Morrison. Many peculiar plants, such as the cactus, have grown and flourished in our con- servatory under the care of these Science teachers. Not only plants have been analyzed, but even such lowly creatures as the angleworm and the locust. Mr. Feeman, in the above picture, has just taken the cover oft the dessicator, and the students are a little fearful wondering if something might jump out at them. Lois Manning, Herman Lange, Hyrtl Fe mathematicians just sitting quietly like this without a pupil or two lean- ing on their desks, wondering how on earth two different equations can be made to come out correctly. They will soon have to help some poor fellow at the hoard who is trying to make angles and triangles meet. Science

t sw! Music and Art The pupils teetering on the suspended board are just beginning a wall mural depicting lite at Eastern. This project has been carefully supervised by our art instructor, Miss Holland. Tack- ing up a picture which advertises summer cruises, she makes us all see the skill which her art students display. Interesting assembly programs have developed from such little conferences as are going on between Mr. Mclntire and Mr. Ferguson lbelow, lettl. Mr. lVlclntire's choir has thrilled Lansing's audiences, while the band has instilled much loyalty in our hearts by playing the national anthem at the beginning of each assembly program. , 15m
