Our present Hall System, due to the splendid cooperation which exists between the chief duty guide, the hall sergeants flower picturei, and hall officers, has worked out very Well this past year. This system has been successfully carried out by the STUDENT COUNCIL fupper picturel, made up ot able representatives from the various home rooms, and working in cooperation with the faculty. These representatives, acting as spokesmen tor their groups, learn the pupils' desires and voice them for dis- cussion at the regular meetings. Miss Wheeler, our librarian Cat leftl, patiently seeks filed material for bewildered pupils who are for the first time wading through their long term papers. lust in case she Can't take care of them all, her efficient staff, which is chosen on its merits and spends hours shelving and check- ing books in and out, is always willing to lend its aid. Telephon undreds of schedules and marks, writing tardy slips for the lagging pupils and answering a hun- dred and one questions-this portrays our two office girls, Nan Etson and Wilma Iohnson. Language There are always some Cvery iewl scholarly looking people on board, either reading ot Aeneas' wander- ings or patiently studying French verbs and pronunciations, while the more brilliant students hide smiles behind their hands at this queer language that is being spoken. Three of the students, apparently feeling they have mas- tered Latin as a language, have laid aside their books and turned to the curio case to learn something cf Roman lite and art. Our American companions also know that people back home will be impressed by the neatly and correctly written letters which are sent to them from foreign ports.
