CLASS OF 1957 Pres George Penn Sec Sally Cummms V Pres jack Schultz Treas Dorothy Sue Remmgton SOPHOMORE CLASS AVING recovered sufflcrently from our flrst year of hlgh school we begln our second We are now used to berng hrgh school students It feels a great deal better to be upperclassmen now mstead of lowly freshman Our subjects aren t as easy as last year s but we hope to struggle through them In our frrst class meetmg we elected our offrcers We decided that smce we have such a brg class ahead of us whose prom we have to pay for we would have to make some money Mr Dorchester suggested that we collect class dues of ten cents a month We passed lt wlth an overwhelmrng majority We hope to have close to erghty one dollars ln our treasury at the end of the school year I act1v1t1es wlth whlch we can make some money Our home room teachers are Mrss Weber and Mr Dorchester They have helped us great deal rn our class meetlngs and other thrngs Mrss Weber IS new m East Washlngton so we hope we aren t botherrng her too much Mr Dorchester has been here sometlme and IS used to antrcs lrke ours In our future years of schoolrng we hope to do as well as we have IH the past We hope that we can llve up to the standards set by the past classes of East Washmgton , h if 4, It . 3 .
