JUNIOR CLASS
HEN you see a group of students rushing all
around either selling t1ckets or 1n some other
only the industrious juniors of East Wash1ngtonH1gh
School who have done a good Job this year The
class started by selling food at all the home football
and basketball games and Ln November a benefit
card party was held which gave quite a boost to our
low treasury Of course after the home basketball
games successful dances were held many m coop
eration with the Yearbook And who w1ll forget those
sponsored by the juniors The class play in April
was lots of fun to put on and II gave our class a
name for talent as well as industry The climax of
all these activities was the best of the year The
Prom And I think you ll all agree that lt was well
worth the effort
way collecting money, don't be alarmed. They are wonderful Friday aftemoon full-length movies again

Our subjects aren t as easy as last year s

In our frrst class meetmg we elected our
offrcers We decided that smce we have such
a brg class ahead of us whose prom we have
to pay for we would have to make some money
Mr Dorchester suggested that we collect class
dues of ten cents a month We passed lt wlth
an overwhelmrng majority
We hope to have close to erghty one dollars
ln our treasury at the end of the school year I
act1v1t1es wlth whlch we can make some money
Our home room teachers are Mrss Weber
and Mr Dorchester They have helped us
great deal rn our class meetlngs and other
thrngs Mrss Weber IS new m East Washlngton

Mr Dorchester has been here sometlme and

HE East Washington Ghosts started off their
1954-55 sports schedule with a none too impres-
sive football record. The season was not as bad as
the record indicated though, for they were beaten
soundly in only a few contests.
This years squad had only three seniors,
Russell Wilson, jim Craver, and Fletcher
Bryant. This means things will be much brighter
next year. With a lot of hard work the football
team should have a much better season in '55.
