Foreword Hark, Seniors! Our voyage is al- most over. Four years ago we set sail in a red and white ship— Knowledge. Captain Ralston and his two mates, Officer McCracken and Officer Wago- ner have guided us to the land of Oppor- tunity. After a short voyage of uncertainty, we left the boat and traveled up the path of expectancy. At the end of the path stood a peculiar house resembling a book. We walked through the door into the room beyond. A very old gentleman greeted us. He told us that he was Father Time. Father Time led us into a very large room. He pointed out to us a man with a great many people surrounding him. This man, our guide ex- plained, is Shakespeare, and the group surround- ing him are the children of his pen. He next brought to our attention a very massive door. Following him into the room, we witnessed a glor- ious sight. All the kings and queens were present amongst statesmen and ministers. Even the great and near-great in the American government were paraded before us. So we wandered from room to room, uttering sounds of delight at some sights, sounds of dis- may at others. Soon we must leave. Once more we will board our ship. As we glance at our com- pass, we find our destiny to be suc- cess. Pray, Seniors, that our ship will not be blown off her course, but will safely dock on the shore of Success.
