Class Prophecy Shipmates Huber, Karch, and Hcllwig Have one thought in mind— To prove that many a sailor may A girl in each port find. A sailor named Truszkowski Was swabbing oflf the deck; lie scrubbed until the deck shone And there was not a speck. Along came Felix Zelinsky, Our foremost engineer, I le spilled some oil upon the cV. k And scurried here and there. While down below within the ship, Much to our surprise. Stokers Pomianck, Snigcl, and Schmidt We found in odd disguise. These boys as stokers on our ship Were playing with the coal; It represented their football With the furnaces as their goal. A dance was held on board that night l or the class of '38— All the former students were there To learn each other’s fate. Lahcy and Ebner wore trailing gown-. That helped to clean the floor; Kapsky and Nun iant came with frowns— To them ’twas all a bore. All in all, the affair was good; We all enjoyed the night; We danced and we enjoyed ourselves. And all were smiling bright. At our first port of call wc met A politician you all know: Mauro Fisher was his name. Oh, my, could his tongue go! Here he lived with Johanna His lovely little bride; She loved her politician husband And was forever at his side. P j(r Turnty-iticH

I Class Prophecy Belay there, you swabs. Do you think you’re on This is Captain Freeman And we’re already late. Avast there! a date? talking You know right well we’re sailing Far out beyond the blue; To start us on our journey Is entirely up to you.’’ Our group was out to journey Across the wide, wide sea To celebrate the anniversary Of the class we used to be. Haul up the plank, you sea-splashers. You’re looking kind of dead; Come on there. Mister Mulhall— Do you think you’re made of lead?’’ Hustle up and use your head, Sigmunt, Joe, and Paul, Or we will never sail around To our first port of call.’’ Back to work they all went, Much running to and fro And every little while Cap’n sent Amerino down below. While setting sail directly east. We bumped into one Irene Wicsi; No longer she commands, Come here,” But instead she says. Yes, darling, what is it, dcai?” The members of this jolly crew Were quite a cheerful lot; When they were given a task to do. Most of them forgot. Steward Engel tried hard to please But no reward did he receive. For Richard Tittel in a moment of jest Tripped the steward and sent him west. Emil Ozimck can be seen The crow’s nest perched atop; He tried so hard success to find That’s how he reached the top. Page Turnty-fix

Class Prophecy On this isle lives Gladys Cicchino A charming friend to find; To write an interesting novel Is the one thought in her mind. We thought we saw Fcrrao At work in a garage. But to our disappointment It was only a mirage. Before we sailed from this gay isle, Mayor Kane stood at his door. And bade us stay in his quaint style; So wc regretted departure more. Our journey was through And for home we did start. With a tear in our eye And an ache in our heart. The renewal of friendship on this trip And acquaintances which we made. And the memory of our sturdy ship I rom our minds will never fade. Each did his part, whether small or great, Through peace and calm, storms and strife. To bring home safe our Ship of State To win their battle, the battle of Life. Chatter Professor Knottymusclc Discusses Idlcmania. Idlcmania is a very contagious disease. It is dreaded mostly by teachers and employers. The victims arc invariably Seniors and Post-Graduates. Idlcmania be- comes more inevitable as time goes by. Those who have this contamination should consult their physicians immediately. The symptoms consist of restlessness and an involuntary twitching of the muscles. The more serious cases complain of an abhorrence to acquiring knowlegc; resent diligence, and despise all mental exertions. The victims arc habitually unconcerned about their associates. Hard work is a very adequate and reliable innoculation for Idlcmania. To those fortunate immune individuals, this infection can be very irritating. Once apprehended by this contagion, the victim can be assured of no explicit cure. Strict discipline and rigid obedience will, however, help to impede this pollution. Chaki f.s Hell wig.
