B4 L-.45 l. 1-aluzzi v. vulente Faster, Smalz, faster! are the words one would be yelling if he were at the Garfield game. Joe Smalz, our half-back, stole the show with his fine display of running as he galloped 96 yards for a touchdown. In the last IO sec- onds of the game, Smalz again stood out with his final touchdown to win the game. Cruzylegs Xlensing The Wildcat eleven, against Lodi and Lynd- hurst, staged amazing upsets, with Larry Catuzzi, quarterback, leading the attack. Catuzzi made good most of his passes to ends Perniciaro and Jiovenetta, thus earning him- self a place on the All-Conference team. Holding the line stead-fast in his position was Vic Valente, who, along with Catuzzi, rep- resented East Rutherford on the Conference team. Although Lou FittapaIdi's Wildcats won only 3 games of an 8 game schedule. they proved to the other schools they had plenty of fight and determination, and loom as a threat to any team. lfuvlf Noir. le-lt lo right: .l.
