French Club Entertains Patients At Rest Home Members: Lori Toms, Lori Tessnear, Sherry Whelchel, Cindy Childers, Pam Walker, Caroline Phillips, Bobbi Jean Harrill, Kim Melton, Janet Dailey, Rachel Enrich, Lori Sisk, Dipa Desai, Monica Paris, Anna Robinson, Emily Hollifield, Jenny Shipley, Grant King, Greg Jennings, Brannon Bright, Melissa Mayes, Christy Callison, Karen Smith, Leslie Weathers, Lisa Martin, Tracey Martin, Ricky Goodman, Amy Goforth, Kim Hughes, Tamie Freeman The major aim of the French Club is to promote interest in French outside of the classroom. Taking French is the only requirement needed to join the club. This year, the club planned many events. Around Christmas time, the members took fruit baskets to rest homes and sang Christmas carols in French and English. Later in the year, the club ate at a French restaurant. At the Community Education Fair, mem- bers performed puppet plays. Dues for the club are $1.00. The goal of the French National Honor Society is to recognize academic achievement in French. To be a member of this club, you must have had two years of French with an ‘‘A”’ average and a ‘‘B”’ average in all other subjects. The society participated in all the events the French Club planned. Dues are $1.50.
