Energy Awareness is not a very common subject discussed. But there are several students at Cool Springs Jr. High and East High School that are determined to make it more obvious throughout the Rutherford county schools. The organization is actually two clubs in one. The two clubs are NCSAS (North Carolina Student Academy of Sciences) and NEED (National Energy Education Day project). The club consists of 89 members from the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. The advisors are Doris Tucker and Robby Jenkins. The club officers are front row, left to right, Connie Yelton; 7th grade representative; DaLea Ohmstead, President; and Crystal Skipper, secretary.
