On December 15, 1983, the Fall Sports Banquet was held in the East Rutherford High School Cafeteria. Dr. Bob England was the Master of Ceremonies. The invocation was presented by Mr. Dan Beason, and East’s Concert Choir furnished the entertainment. They sang the ‘Alma Mater” and ‘‘Still the One.” The following awards were given at the ban- quet. J.V. Football — Robert Hill and Rodney Wat- kins, Best Back; Chris Fisher, Best Lineman. Fresh- man Football — Best Back, James Watkins; Most Valuable, Doug Hollars; Best Lineman, Patrick Jol- ley. Varsity Football — Most Valuable, Eric Starr; Best Back, Tracy Kitt; Best Lineman, Charles Costner; Most Courageous, Tim Price and Mark Melton; Sportsmanship, Ryan Millwood; Most Im- proved, Jeff Penson; Team before Self, Todd Nor- ville.
