DR. HENRY H. BORMANN As we, the class of 1961, graduate from East Rockaway High School, so graduates our principal, Dr. Henry H. Bormann. It makes us sad to see him leave; in his fifteen years as principal, he has been not only a top-notch administrator, but also a. sincere friend. His doors have always been open to all of East Rockaway’s students, inviting their confidences and straightening out their conflicts. YVc would like to thank Dr. Bormann for his time and his interest in us. YVc shall never forget him and his influence on us as East Rockaway’s students. YVc arc sure that although he is no longer principal, his interest in us and in our school will continue. YVe know that Dr. Bormann’s rich background, as a scholar, teacher, Air Force Major and administrator, will help many people in the future as it has helped us in the past. fl

STUDWELL Superintendent December 20, 1960 Dear Seniors, About the time you graduate from high school Dr. Henry H. Bormann, our High School Principal, will be retiring after thirty-two years of professional affiliation with our school system. During the first half of that period he was Principal of our Elementary Schools, and during the second half he has held the position in which you have come to k ow him. Dr. Bormann s experience and his careful planning have been advantageous to you in many ways throughout your high school course, and I fee3 sure you are appreciative of all he has done for you as high school students. Knowing your interest in the future of East Rockawav High, I believe too that you share my satisfaction in realizing we have available such men as Mr. Berg and Mr. Sackman to take over the administrative and supervisory assignments in our school as of July first. In behalf of staff members and members of the Eoard of Education, I am pleased to have this opportunity to express our appreciation of Dr. Bormannfs services in the East Rockaway Schools, and to extend to him and to Mrs. Bormann our best wishes for their health and happiness during the years ahead.
