PHILIP CAMPBELL Phil, the rosy cheeked tenor of the senior class, makes friends wherever he goes. A lover of music, he portrayed “Marco” in the “Gondoliers”. One of the future Big Ben tycoons, Phil’s greatest ambition is to attend the U. S. Coast Guard Academy. Chorus; Operetta lead; Singers; New York State Music Competition; Senior Band Officer; Rock Rivalry; Gym Leaders; Varsity Track. JUSTIN CHAPEL Completing his high school career at East Rockaway, Jay has made a name for himself as an outstanding athlete and the wittiest boy in the class of '58. Jay comes to us from St. John Prep where he was a member of the Catholic school champion relay team. This tall, dark, and handsome lad claims every page of his black book is filled! Jay’s plans for the future is a career in the Air Force. St. John’s Prep; Literary Seminar: Varsity Football; Varsity Track; Rock Rivalry. BARBARA CIPRIANO “Bobbie loves to dance and listen to good music. She is always helpful, friendly and constantly laughing. One of our many sports-minded seniors, her “golden glove” adequately covers first base during softball season. Bobbie plans to go into the business world after high school. ANNE MARIE BIRD Anne Marie is a combination of well-read intellect, superior athlete, and efficient secretary. “La petite oiseau” has quite a talent for raising her eyebrow! Anne likes individualism, semi-classical music, tennis, and reading. She plans to attend a state teachers’ college. Rho Gamma Secretary; Literary Seminar; Modern Miss; Debating Club; Secretarial Club; French Club: Service Squad: ROCK Literary Staff; ROCK Girls’ Sports Editor; Junior Prom; Rock Rivalry; Hockey Honor Team; Volleyball Honor Team; Basketball Honor Team; Softball Honor Team. VALERIE BOKSER The girl with the extensive wardrobe, neat appearance and peaches and cream complexion is Val. Her sincerity and lively sense of humor have made her popular with the Rocks. Val plans to be a secretary after East Rockaway High. Modern Miss; Spanish Club; Secretarial Club; Rock Rivalry: Twirling Squad: ROCK Typist. JOAN BOLTON Joan, noted for her clean starched gym suit, is one of the famous physi-cities. Besides traveling Joan likes boys, clothes, movies and vacations. JOHN COLLETTI There is nothing so sweet to Jack’s ears as the familiar purr (!) of Hep-sibah II. Mr. Personality Plus of the class of ’58, Jack plans to own Big Ben before he is twenty. DOROTHY COPELAND Can you imagine Dot with straight hair? Her activities prove Dottie’s popularity and spirit. We shall always remember her as the girl who really enjoys life. Dottie plans to attend Oswego. His talent for making people laugh and his devilish charm easily earned him the title of senior class clown. Nippy, spirited Rock Rivalry participant, enjoys late hours, sleeping and Italian food.
