BORMANN Principal-High School Dear Seniors, Now that you are about to separate from your friends here at school, you can understand better what Shakespeare meant when he wrote, Parting is such sweet sorrow. You are drawn closer to your friends; they mean more to you. So many thoughts of them are suddenly brought together in your mind that you would need Shakespeare's talent to express them all. You feel the joy of friendship and the sadness of parting — at the same moment. Your teachers and I are also feeling that sweet sorrow. We do not like to see you go because we have many colorful memories of you — happy, hectic, sometimes troubled, but finally triumphant. We would gladly express our many kindly thoughts toward you, but we also would need Shakespeare's genius to do them justice. We hope that our friendships with you will deepen as the years pass. It will always be a pleasure to help you in any way that we can. Your successes will continue to make us happy, especially when we can feel that we had a part, however small, in preparing you for them. We believe in you.
