DEDICATION “From the top of her head to the soles of her feet, she is all mirth.” We will forget many things about East Rockaway High School, but we will not forget the person who has given so unstintingly of her time and energy to the class of ’58. We first were charmed by Miss Murphy in eighth grade when she introduced us to the world of literature. When it became time to select a class adviser we felt that a “down to earth”, friendly person like Miss Murphy would be the person we would like. She was a wise choice. Throughout our four years at East Rockaway High School Miss Murphy always had a moment to help solve a class crisis. She was never too busy to help us with Rock Rivalry, our Prom or our ROCK. We shall remember her dynamic personality, her wonderful sense of humor and her genuine interest in us. Our adviser, a person of diversified interests, enjoys conversation, music, reading, coffee and sports. Thank you, “Murf”, for teaching us to laugh when things went wrong, and for standing by us throughout four years. This is the record of the years you shared with us.
