Her constructive criticisms of Rock Rivalry en- trances, her practical suggestions on the matter of earn- ing and spending class money, and her "words of wis- dom" which often settled debates in class meetings, are but a few of her services to us. In other fields, Miss Decker also played prominent parts. Cheer-leading coach and mentor of the Riding Team are among her services. As elementary Algebra and Social Studies teacher, she has aided many scholastically. Her cheerful attitude and friendly greeting made her a great friend of ours. Situated in Venice, the story deals with the search for a missing king. In his absence, two Gondoliers, Marco and Guiseppe, assume the royal robes. Casilda, betrothed to the King from childhood, has fallen in love with a drummer-boy, Luis. The crisis grows graver when the two boatmen marry. The King's childhood nurse, Inez, appears late in the tale and provides a happy ending by disclosing that Luis, the drummer-boy, is the actual King. This presentation was enlivened by the Duke and Duchess of Plaza-Toro, the impoverished parents of Casilda. Many thanks, Mr. Fordham and your music depart- ment, for such wonderful entertainment.
