We, the seniors, have recorded our four memorable school years in this, our book, the Rock edition of 1951. We have emphasized our senior year, because we feel it has been the best one of all. However, some things cannot be expressed exactly as we wish. It is impossible to describe the wonderful class spirit and will to win that have crowned our great success as a group. We have learned to appreciate the great influence our teachers have on our lives; we shall remember them and everything they have done for us. This yearbook is a memento of our never-to-be forgotten senior year. Because we feel that our school life is based on a pattern of events and activities which have been stormy, troubled, calm and finally sunny, we have chosen ''The Seasons” for our theme. This edition of The Rock, our yearbook, has been created by and for us . . . the senior class of 1951.

DEDICATION The class of 1951 proudly dedicates its final and lasting work to William Berg, our adviser, our teacher, and best of all, our friend. For the past two years Mr. Berg has guided ’51 through fair and foul weather but always towards a worthwhile goal. His friendliness and sense of humor are an integral part of his sincere personality, which we seniors, thoroughly appreciate. Discussions in Mr. Berg's classes are well publicized around the school, whether the topic be girls’ hairdoes or a current political issue. Questions arising from these debates make us more conscious of Mr. Berg’s fine ability to understand all points of view. We fondly dedicate our most prized achievement, our Yearbook, to the man who has done the most for us, Mr. Berg. MR. BERG AND FAMILY Left to Right: Mrs. Berg, Karen, Brian, and Mr. Berg. 5
