Arts Department Left to right. Seated: Mr. J. Ruckdeschel, Mrs. M. Nelson, Mrs. I. Shimans. Standing: Mr. H. Fordham, Mr. A. Tutunjian. In this ring we have those three famous tantalizing tongue-twisters, Spanish, French and Latin. Under the expert tutelage of Mrs. Dorothy Meske and Mrs. Lillian Clark, the language students have become very proficient. Classes under these teachers are never dull and the romance languages are always interestingly taught. Language Department 10 Left to right: Mrs. L. Clark, Mrs. D. Meske. When the big show comes to town each September, the arts department's chores begin. Mrs. Ida Shimans takes care of our posters and advertising art; Mrs. Marjorie Nelson supervises costumes and foods; Mr. Henry Fordham leads our circus band; and Mr. Albert Tutunjian and Mrs. John Ruckdeschel keep the shop in operation.

Genius at work, Q0H22O11 + H20 plus a mysterious herb gives an inky colored brew.” No, that isn't the secret formula for making a powerful acid. That is just Herm” making coffee for the school nurse, Mrs. Lally and the biologist, 7th and 8th grade science teacher, Mr. Aschoff. It is through the efforts of these people that our health is guarded and our knowledge of science is stimulated and increased. Proving 2 equals 1 doesn't seem too difficult after all. King Tut” seems to be having little trouble with the three sceptics, Miss Gladys Olson, Miss Emily Mary Goodwin, and Miss Gertrude Decker. This year the math department has had three new additions in the persons of Miss Decker, Miss Goodwin and King Tut.” Due to its two-fold tongue-twisting tone the name Mr. Albert Souirou Tutunjian has been slightly modified to simply King Tut or Mr. T.” With such capable additions and the continued excellent work of Miss Gladys Olson, the math department should prove one of the best in the school. Physical Education Department Left to right: Mr. N. Judd, Miss E. McCord. Introducing the Physical Education Department whose job it is to train the acrobats, tumblers, and dancers of our big show. Miss Eileen McCord teaches the girls to trip the light fantastic while Mr. Nevin Judd accomplishes the difficult feat of tutoring the tumblers in the fundamentals of their art. Together they are responsible for the top physical condition of all our performers. Our business department, under the direction of Mrs. Isabel Hefele and Mr. Charles Halford is one of the best equipped departments of the school. Offered courses from shorthand, typing and transcription through business training, business arithmetic and business law, the students who complete this field of study are prepared to meet any and all business problems. Mr. Halford is also the head of our extensive guidance department which contributes greatly in helping a student choose his vocation. Business Department Left to right: Mrs. I. Hefele, Mr. C.
