This year has passed bringing with it the kick of being teen agers during one of the most exciting eras in history. Our fun-packed experiences in both our quest for knowledge and our social gatherings have made high school interesting and stimulating. But nevertheless we were constantly aware of the fleeting poignancy of our school years. Friendships gained in our sojourn here will remain with us always as will the happy recollections of that most important time in our life teen age.

DEDICATION In our four years in East Rockaway High we have found in Miss Duffy a friend and helper of immeasurable value. She is number one on the hit parade of the class of 1946. Every morning as she drives up in the Black Beauty she carries with her an air of happiness. In school the wit that is intermingled with paint brushes and drafting utensils makes her classes among the most popular in the school. Never a resting moment would probably be on the Duffy Coat of Arms, if there was one, because if she isn’t working with us on I he Rock you may find her making “petits choses” for her house or hunting up some exquisite piece of jewelry. In leisure moments swimming and good music take the time of our good-natured “buddy. We use this term because she means more to us than just a friend. As we dedicate this book to her we can only say, Thanks for everything. Miss Duffy!
