CLASS HISTORY . . It must be our fate to have sportsmen, scholars, teamwork, and willingness. Yes, we've sure got the class . . . And as we look back on four years of high school, we can see that the Fates have fulfilled the prophecy of our class song. In the fall of 1961 the largest group of freshmen ever to enter E.R.H.S. converged upon the audi- torium doors. Little did the high school realize what a legend of success in scholarship and athletics we were destined to write. Immediately our able advisor, Mr. Richard McLane, pulled together the loose, green ends. We tried our new wings in a candy sale and discovered that they were quite trustworthy-they only needed a little practice. Our Frosh Frolic was also a great success. There were, of course, the many new and in- teresting activities of high school. We soon found ourselves enthusiastically supporting numerous or- ganizations. During this first year, we had already begun to write a page in scholastic history at E.R.H.S. by initiating the advanced math program. On Moving Up Day we were forced to bow to the Class of 1964, but this defeat was certainly not to be repeated. We lived out the following year as gay, young sophomores, enjoying every minute of the day. Our prize-winning class song paraphrased the new peak we had reached by the end of our junior year: junior Class of '65 is way beyond compare. We've outdone the rest-really think we're best. Count up the many things we've done you'll find they spell success. J-U-N-I-O-R-S . . . Who will ever forget the twelve-hour day we put into Orientale , our prom-9. terrific finale for the year! The new school year brought to the grand, old seniors conflict ofemotions-the joy of seniority, the anticipation involved in making plans for the future, and the sorrow in knowing that we were soon to leave the life we had lived for four years. Now we have the memory of good times and friends to take with us ,as the strains of Pomp and Circumstancen fade into the distance. We also shall carry with us up that aisle an education which will be the foundation of our future lives. OFFICERS BOTTOM ROW: Hoskins, Vice President, Riegle, Secretary. SECOND ROW: Kostecke, President, Mr. McLane, Advisory Thomas, Treasurer.
