RECOGNITIGN Throughout the years, East Rochester has been known as a village of champions, and a tradition of winning has been established at East Rochester High School. It is for their help in maintaining this commendable tradition that the 1964 Gagashoan staff is honoring Nlr. John Baynes and Mr. Donald Quinn. They have helped our students develop a sense of teamwork and fair play and also at- titudes which will aid them when they must make the decisions the future will demand. MR. DONALD QUINN MR. JOHN BAYNES Mr. Baynes, in his profession as guidance coun- selor, aids East Rochester students in planning their futures and helps prepare them for adult life from the time they are freshmen until their graduation day. Mr. Baynes' insight into char- acter and his understanding of young people are the characteristics which have made him an ex- cellent guidance counselor and brought him many basketball championships. Not only has Nlr. Quinn coached our wrestling and football teams to championships, he has also helped countless boys along the road to matur- ity by developing their body co-ordination and increasing their physical abilities. Through sports and physical education classes, Mr. Quinn has dis- ciplined our boys in a manner which will aid them when they must assume the responsibilities of manhood.

Every school requires a superintendent and a board of education, but the members ot East Rochester's administration have given their time and efforts far beyond an ordinary requirement. These contributions have mani- fested themselves over the years in many improvementsg most apparent at present are the new wing and swimming pool. Many of us do not realize that the school board and superintendent are the link be- tween the school and community. It was they who investigated every aspect of E.R.H.S. expansion and presented the plans to the townspeople. Certainly progress is the watchword of East Rochester High School's administration. SUPERINTENDENT: Lewis C, Obourn ADMINISTRATIO BOARD OF EDUCATION: Mr. Carnellp Mr. Kopp: Mrs. Doremusp Mr. Harlotfg Mr. Williams.
