X X f - ,ff Fw 2 Foreword During the four years that our class has been in high school, it has been our policy to combine orig- inality, imagination, enthusiasm, cooperation, and constant hard work to overcome a seemingly stag- nant, stereotyped school life. By encouraging IN- DIVIDUAL thinking, thereby producing new and diFFerent combinations of old ideas, our class has deviated from set patterns. In accordance with this background, the i962 Gagashoan staff has chosen INDIVIDUALISM as its theme. Our Nebnik cartoons throughout the book have been used to symbolize INDIVIDUALISM. His chief concerns center around the problems of the student body and the faculty in our school. Dili- gently and prudently, he directs the course that each day will follow. Board of Education Mr. Frank J. O'Donnell Over the years the East Rochester School system has experienced the pangs of expansion and improvement. It now consists of three separate school plants: each a part of one's educational ex- perience. Mr. L, C, Obourn, Superintendent of Schools, has guided this development through his perseverance and relentless effort. The Board of Education, elected representatives ot the village, spend innumerable hours approving academic programs, evalu- Principal ating extra-curricular activities, and formulating school policies. The responsibilities, which rest upon the shoulders of each member of the Board have a prodigious effect upon the tuture progress of the East Rochester Public School system. Within their hands rest a great number ot decisions which determine the adequacy of our school system and the advantages it will otter to the stu- dents and to the community. it , ff Goal taocy, 'rfwioune BOARD OF EDUCATION: Mr, Harloff, Ivir.
