If SE IURS 954 iff Why 4 if -ff ,, A JI. The time is dravsin near when vue the class of 1954 will leave our Alma Mater These ' g Q ' , , - sprawling buildings that have been a greater part of our lives hold numerous memories which we shall cherish forever. We realize that we owe a debt of gratitude to the people, our parents and teachers, who made these years possible. We gladly acknowledge this debt, fully aware that actual re- payment is a feat impossible of accomplishment. We give thanks to the many moms and dads who have tried to help us fulfill our high ideals and aims for the future. Our parents have patiently shared all of our trials and achieve- ments with us. When we became restless and uneasy and a job seemed like an easy way out, it was Mom's and Dad's reassuring words and encouragement that made us continue. They have also shared our moments of glory with us whether they be scholastic, athletic, musical, iromantic, or trivial. To them we can only say, Thanks Mom and Dad, for all you have done or us. Also, to our teachers, who have, like our own parents, stuck by us through thick and thin, we want to say thanks for the many things you have done for us collectively and individually. We shall never forget your helpful friendly, manner and wise words that promoted such amicable relationships between the student body and the faculty, or how you have tried to pre- pare us for life, college, and our jobs. To us, you will always be our special friends and teachers. We shall never forget you and all you have done for us. 'A' - 'lr i' 'A' 'A' 'A' 'A' The five division pages in the Gaga- shoan have been accomplished through a process, known as silk screening. This has meant untold hours of work by the Gagashoan sta6. Silk screening is probably one of the most popular mediums of a vertising and poster work known today. The drawings of the division pages were made by Sally Hopkins, then' the stencil was cut and aliixed to largehsilk screens. The actual process of squeeging the paint through the silk and onto 'the colored pages was done by Larry Koto- wicz and James Burlingame. As the finished products came off the screen they were handled by Chris Russo, Jean Platino, Pat Filiaci, Elizabeth Ballone, Nancy Win- ney, Lillian Finnity, Theresa Rizzo, Bob Winebrenner, Pat DeMare, and Tony LaFay. . The above people reported for at least two hours after school and arranged the sheets on tables, on the floor, and on the l cabinets to dry. Each individual page was run through the screen twice t ereby handling 6500 completed division pages. The National Honor Society is composed this year of 12 Seniors and 10 Juniors. Twice each year a tapping ceremony is held in the auditorium. At this program the present members tap the new members into the society. TO be a member of the N.H.S., a student must have attained an average Of at least 8570. Other necessary qualities are citizenship, leader- ship, and school service. This year the N.H.S. and its advisers attended the performance of South Pacific. R. team any chance of winning the county championship. Due to superior coaching and a fighting team with undying effort, even when the odds were greatly against them, E. R., the county darkhorse, came on to win the title. Defeat in the Sectional playoff game against Lyons resulted when victory slipped through our fingers in the last two seconds. Even though our team JERRY VIENNE LARRTWWEISE was defeated, it shall go down in our circus archives as one of the greatest teams to play for our Big Top. We are proud of every Bomber for their D'C-All Couml' line sportsmanship and playing ability. ex ' L T'U-All FOUHIY Congratulations to jerry Vienne and Larry Weise who were chosen on V97 lt, All Sefflonal the all-county and all-sectional teams.
