To assist with the secretarial duties in the oFFice, Mrs. Madeline Abram joined the stalyr in March, l96'l. Pleasant and amiable Mrs. Abram has adjusted easily to school ottice routine. The Board, consisting of Mr. Patrick Clougherty, presi- dent, Mr. John Marko, Mrs. Marie DuFfy, Mr. Michael Poach, Mr. Regis Comer, Mr. William Thompson, and Mr. Orville Rice, secretary, works behind scenes to pro- mote an eFFective educational program, provide for the physical needs, and formulate school policy. The administration, working with the educational in- terests ot boys and girls in mind, believe in promoting the highest possible standards for East Pittsburgh Schools. Dr. Henry G. Beamer Aware that a public school program should provide tor the growing youth in a changing world, Dr. Henry Beamer, superintendent, and the members ot the East Pittsburgh School Board have adopted and maintained a public school program planned to tit the educational needs ot the boys and girls ot East Pittsburgh. Dr. Henry Beamer, superintendent ot East Pittsburgh Schools, is a man devoted to the educational welfare of the community. Although his duties cover a wide scope, he finds time for all individuals and the many problems that otten arise. Dr. Beamer's education and understanding make him a worthy asset to the com- munity and educational system. Indispensable in the handling and directing of the multiple duties connected with a school's business office is Mrs. Verda Spangler Burnett. Her patience and willingness to aid teachers and students, in spite ot her busy schedule, is characteristic ot East Pittsburgh High School's secretary.
