Our strong band can ne'er be broken
Formed in East Palestine High,
Far surpassing wealth unspoken,
Sealed by friendship's tie.
Alma Mater, Alma Mater,
Deep graven on each heart,
Shall be found unwavering, true,
'Til we from life shall part.
DEDICATION
We the senior class of 1957 wish to
cledlcote the Ephcmon to the memory of
Jock Edward Bornhouse whom we shall
never forget
People come 1nto our hves
And walk Wlth us a mlle
They only stay a while
They serve a need w1th1n the days
That move so qulckly by
And then are gone beyond our reach
We often wonder why
God only knows the reasons that
We meet and share a smlle
Why people come 1nto our llves
And walk Wlth us a mlle
I . I .
I
. l. ,
And then because of clrcumstance

The 1957 basketball squad led by Co-
Captains Tom Young and Allen Huston,
and under the excellent training of Coach
Hinten, completed one of the most suc-
cessful seasons within the. last twenty
years. Although the Bulldogs met tough-
er competition in Tri-County League
play this year, the Brown and White took
the runner-up honor in Tri-County
League by winning eleven and losing
only three. The Bulldog cagers led the
race for the Tri-County crown until the
last game of the season when they went
down in defeat at the hands of Sebring.
In the N.E.O. Sectional Tournament
at Struthers Fieldhouse, the mighty Bull-
dogs were the number two seeded team.
The Brown and White rolled over Camp-
bell Memorial, 67-59, in the first game
of tournament action. Advancing to the
finals, they were defeated by an improv-

making 256 points, he also made the
most rebounds for our team. Tom
Young led in the foul shooting depart-

Huston took most valuable player and
best defensive honors.
This year's squad with only four sen-

by sports announcers. Going into fourth
quarter play the Bulldogs were usually
behind, but with a K'press" that worked
to perfection and the desire to win, the
