Z 27 Today was the last day of school and everyone is facing the three months vacation ahead with happy hearts and the feeling that the school year was well spent Miscellaneous The Sophomore class started the school year with 21 pupils enrolled, but was decrea ed durlng the year until there were only 17 members at the end of school Cla s offlcers were Presidents, Kenneth Swetzer and Gordon Brown, Repre 6HtdtlV6S, Irvln ochwell and Dlck Nelson, Secretaries, Ruth Cullers and Elalne COLslHSe Gordon Brown '45' FREDHMEN HIDTORY Last September sl, when the alrshlp WEducat1on' tink off on the runway of E N H S. twenty nlne shy Freshmen Jolned fllght NLGSTHIDSN on the alrways The first week our fllgrt flew a rough course The WStuka Sophomores' drove us 1nto a wet esslon of shower . On the first take of1, Kenneth Counts, took over the pilots seat, Ellis ombs, co pllot, and Leatrice Callcott, radio nav1gator. Through our course we landed for a class meet1ng. This council was to raise enough money to get our pictures ln the annual On our course eight of our passengers parachuted out of our airship Because of this our list of passengers decreased, although five Freshmen took thelr places. When the ship took off for the last stop we elected Billy Houck to take over the stick, co pllot, Charleen Sevier, and radio navigator, Phyllis Flnch. So 1n this manner the good plane 'Education' flew on until she reached her destination, where she was put into the hangar in preparat1on for the f0llOW1hg year, Before we Slgn off, the Freshmen class of 1942 43 wish to express their greatest appreciation for the wise and helpful advice of Mr, Hawthorne, our navlgator, in our long flight of 'Learning' through our primary training.
