class Your Honor, the Devil: I have your letter of recent date demanding that I allow you to have not less than fifty percent of the Junior Class of East Lansing High School, and ex- pressing a special interest in the class officers. I am sorry, but I must refuse your request. Dave Hull as President, Diane Dennington as Vice- President, Emily Derr as Secretary and Barbara Subar as Treasurer have all done a fine job and are definitely helping the class achieve a good record, The student cotmcil representatives, Vicki Smith, Ed Reuling, Doug Smith and Ann Wood, are also on the upward climb, due to their good work. With the help of their sponsors, Miss Newhouse and Mr.Smith, the students of the Junior Class will be stepping off the last rung of the ladder and through my pearly gates in a year. C Q-3 of 1956 Just take a look at the many successful activi- ties this class held during the year. The HHHU-31 J -Hop, on February 19, was a most enjoyable affair. The Junior Play, Time out for Ginger , on April 29, the paper drive, the big magazine subscription sale, and the chartering of busses to out of town sports events were all on the list of achievements for them. This class ordered and received their class jewelry earlier than any former class. . .that is indicative of their school spirit. And don't forget thelunior- Senior Banquet which climaxed the year's activities. You can easily see, Your Honor the Devil, that according to my record book, you will not be awarded any part of the Junior Class of E.L.H.S. They will finish the climb and step through my pearly gates with no black marks. Yours truly, St. Peter
