The day Miss Winston, Social Worker, played by Judy Green, came to the cottage proved to be very eventful. She predicted trouble for the family when they decided to adopt the crippled boy, .Timmy John, Mickey Mickelson. J immy John proved to be a challenge to the Roses and him- self, but was loved by all, He and our cherub friend had great times together especially during rehearsals when our chum rode around on J immy's crutches. A perfect climax came when J immy John learned to walk again, and mother's story of his accomplishment was sold to the movies. When our cheerful, cherub chum rode across on the closing curtain he was well satisfied. The kids had gone to the big harvest dance and mother sat gazing at Poppy's picture. While leaving the play, the tiny voice of you know who beamed from the enormous crowd with the words, From all the seniors and all concerned I would like to say thanks so much to Mr, Warren Richard, Director: Priscilla Shaver, Student Directorg Bob Bunker, Student Producer: Bobbie Ryder, Karen Milligan, Promptersg and to all those whose work on the committees helped make this production such a success. Boy, did Ihave fun. l wm'f

SENIOR PLAY ROOM FOR ONE MORE The little, cheerful, cherub chum of the seniors was more than happy on November 19, 1954, when he found there was Room for One More in the pumpkin shell. The pumpkin shell, a small cottage, was the setting for the senior's successful play. Mother, played by Peggy Hangosky, had her hands full with her family of adopted children, but always had time for our chum in between lines. She handled her grief very well when Poppy, portrayed by Greg Seaman, died leaving her with five children. That little cherub sure had a great time with Chic Laughead, who acted as the good-looking older brother, Joey Rose. Joey's main ambition was to become a doctor. His best gal was Peggy Holcomb who played the part of Betty Biddle. She was slightly spoiled by her mother, Mrs, Biddle, played by Nelda Trout. If you listened carefully, you could hear our chum a whistling backstage during the second act when Trot Rose, Arlene Taylor, looking mighty snappy, joined the kids for a swim. Our cherub was most happy when the Roses decided to keep Janie, a shy and hesitant orphan, played by Carol Garner. The whole family was pleased when Janie conquered her fear of water by res- cuing J o Cheeseman, a drowning woman. Especially proud was J anie's best beau, George Biddle, portrayed by Ken Osborn. Teensie Rose, Suzy Bailey, who added great joy to the story, was our little chum's favorite pal as they rollicked through the play together.
