semon play The Hill Between , a folk drama, was chosen for the senior play which was presented Nov. 14. The principal characters were Brent Sanders, a doctor, played by Jim Leigh, his Wife, Anna, played by Delores Dedrel. Julie Robbins and her father, Paw Robbins, were played by Ba Werle and Mike Jones respectively. Dick Rood was Larz Higgins, a mountain boy. Ellen Sanders, played by Mary Grace Chruchill, was Brent's sister, John Crouse played the part of Hank Allen. Guests at a country square dance were played by Tom Masters, Gary Dietrich, Karol Miller, Rosanne Dietrich, Julie Hicks, Dick Weber, Ianel Plankell, Valerie Ludwig, Ed Longnecker, Doug Ousterhout. Pat Moynihan was student director and Buzz Lake, student producer. The play told about a city doctor, Brent Sanders, who returned to his home in the southern hills and took his lovely wife, Anna, with him. The mountain people were dazzled by the city woman, and Larz Higgins even thought he fell in love with her, but she could not adjust herself to the simple, rustic way of life. It was there that Brent realized that his place as a doctor was in the country with his own people, and Anna returned to her way of life in the city.
