,As backward freshmen we hesitantly entered into our
high school life in 1953. During our first year we held a
food sale, sponsored the refreshments and a dance after a
basketball game, and last, but definitely not least, we won
the magazine campaign which we so loved!
A year later found us as sophomores who at last felt at
home at E. L. H. S. We went right to work and chose our
class colorss. black and white Wand sent for those cherished
jackets, hats. and pennants. This year we also had a food
sale, and sponsored another dance at a home basketball
game. We had a roller skating party, too, for extra money.
So now we are juniors with three years behind us -
only one more to go. A big event this year, of course, was
the receiving of our class rings which we so proudly dis-
played. We held our third food sale and sponsored the
refreshments and dance at a basketball game. We also
elected our El Dorado staff in preparation for next year.
We wish to express our sincere appreciation for all
the seniors have done for us in our past years at E. L. H. S.
and to say how very much we will miss them in our one
remaining year. We certainly wish the best life has to offer
to each and every one of you in whatever you attempt.

In the fall of 1954 we entered high school as timid
freshmen. During the year we had a successful food
sale and a dance follows ing one of the basketball games.
Wfe entered school again the following fall as soph-
omores. The main event of this year was to choose our
class colors-charcoal gray and white-and order our
jackets. hats and pennants. We had a food sale and
sponsored a dance after the Alumni basketball game.
We, the future class of '53, wish the best of luck to
the seniors in whatever they may do.

On September 6, 1955, we as freshmen, the forth-
coming class of "59", walked down the corridor of East
Lampeter High School. A little confused at first we soon
got into the swing of things with the help of our advisors
Mrs. Sensenig and Mr. Dunkle. We elected class officers
and Student Council representatives and entered into the
Magazine Campaign full force. The freshmen were the
winners in this campaign. We also held a very success-
ful food sale which helped to expand our treasury quite
a bit.
We take this opportunity to wish the seniors the best
of success as they strive to attain their goals in this great
world of opportunity.
