The other nurses of note mentioned w'ere Grace Iiraatz. Mildred Metzler, and Viola Lawrence, How fortunate they were to have a chance to help their nation in sucl1 a way! As 1ny eyes wandered over 'the pagre, I noticed the picture of a charming young lady who seemed to be familiar. Sure enough she was. for the paper read: Miss Mary I.el4'exrc, noted teacher of Music. leaves for an indefinite 'tour of Europe. So golden voiced Mary had also made good. 1-lil thinking our class has, I began when suddenly 1ny eyes rested o11 a small col- umn announcing the marriage of Ina Sliealfer aml a lucky young man, both of Lancaster. Ina had always longed to be a homemaker, and now her dreams were to be realized. Soincthing else I read with reinemlzrzutce. The beautiful flowers used to decorate the :hutch were furnished by Weaver's Florist Shop, Richard NVeaver. Owner. I was now quite stunned by the revelation of all this good fortune, and I turned on the radio so that I might once more eome clown to earth, We will now have the business reports ot' the Armstrong Linoleum Company, interrupted the Announcer, by Landis llrrshey, business manager of said Iirm. So even other people had recognized Landis's business ability, Landis had been busi- ness manager in the Senior year. Well, I'd bet U11 his rising.: in his present field. Well. counting.: Kenneth Warfel aml Marvin Ilutchinson, who are both mechanics in t-ur hoinc airport. aml Paul Luttcnberger, who is clerking: in XVatt X SIIZIIIVIS, we havcn't lel'l many out who have not reached their goal. Uh, we're not finished, said Carvell, 1 know that Pete XVeaver is employed by a large I'hiladelphia trucking concern and that Esther Marie Burkhart is still employed at the 'Willows' Itestanrantf' 'Not to mention the Mr. Richard Mylin, famous for his work in the conservation of forests, continued Carl. At least I know something about 'the activities of the members of our class. I know that Frank Ilerr covers territory in and near the city of New York, convincing people that he has the best electric motor for sale. If you want to know how he's getting along, just ask one of his victims! Also. Robert Brubaker is the owner of a prosperous tirm in the home-town, Lancas'ter, Now as our plane comes to its landing and my trip is over, I 'think once more of how the class of '35 has lived up to its higher ideals and how n1y former classmates have also made happy landings in their chosen occupations.
