After jumping out to a fast start by winning their first three games , the Warrior football team, composed in part by East players, stumbled and was defeated by Boyertown . This set the stage for a season filled with inconsistency, the high point of which came with a 16-6 win over arch- rival Great Valley, with the 34-12 drubbing at the hands of Owen J . Roberts ranking as the low point of the season . Despite inconsistency and injuries, the Warriors finished the season with a 6-5 record, which marked the ninth consecutive winning season posted by a Warrior football team Another notch was added to West Chester's long history of win- SOCCQI' ning seasons as the varsity soccer team battled its way into sec- ond place in the district finals, qualifying for state pIayoffs. They won the first game in the Eastern regional finals, but were beaten in the semi-final game, posting a 10-3-4 record .
