Publicity Promotes Interest s i Alerunq students to the coming social events, the Publicity and Promotions Com- mittee displayed posters such as this one publicizing the Halloween party, Mystic Masquerade. Under the proficient leadership of Cheryl Brown, the Publicity and Promotions Committee successfully alerted the student body and the public to the events at East. Through their posters, skits cmd sensations, the committee achieved valued results as indicated by the excellent attendance at activities throuahout the Cemmtee Chairmen Chem BTOWU and member Iudy Nelson distribute posters prcrnotinq the annual Pops Concert. The program provided tor assigning each committee member as a guide to a new stu- dent to show him around school. To close the threeeday orientation program in the tall the group sponsored a picnic at Gates Park. The committee also sent Christmas cards to the concerns in Waterloo with which the ORIENTATION COMMITTEE Guiding the Newcomer Marilyn l-loldgraler, lane Burke, Karen Sheeley and Karen Mohs find that addressing the com- mittee's Christmas cards is no small job. lt's so much more fun when you know how might well be the theme for this party for all those students who had taken Orientation Com- mittee-sponsorecl dancing lessons. school does business, city public schools, the school board, custodians, cafeteria personnel and all schools we have played in athletic contests.
