Left: The homemaking room takes on a new decor when swing show is in progress. A colorful array of materials covers the tables, and pins, thread and needles dot the scene. Students and faculty cut and sew long hours, creat- ing original ideas and fitting the completed costumes. Here the lilmy tap line skirts for Fascinating Rhythm receive last minute touches. Right: Both eyes and ears are focused on Miss Harriet YVilliams, educational demonstrator from the National Livestock and Meat Board. From her talk girls in the senior homemalcing classes learned many good tips for preparing and cooking varied cuts of meat. Know-How Counts E E 3 Many mothers came to the Thanksgiving style show and tea which the senior girls' homemaking classes arranged. They found the horn of plenty centering the table, where they enjoyed refresh- ments of punch and cookies their daughters had made. Models I. Bingaman, D. Warren and B. Ioyce and narrators P. Shuster and C. Allen gather around P. Sheldahl and a little guest. The little girl is holding an octopus which the senior girls designed and made, while the models display clothes which they created in their homemaking classes. 18
