This program began with the adminis- tering of the Iowa Achievement and Iowa Silent Reading Tests. The Otis Quick-Scoring Mental Ability Test administered in March set an LO. ik 'A' 'A' ir 'A' if rating for each student which served as a future guide in teaching. The last of the tests was the Stanford Arithmetic Test necessitated by the demand for a fundamental background in mathe- matics of student graduates going into wartime jobs.
