To the Class of 1032, Greetivzgsf
The opportunities and aa'i'antages of a high school educa-

best of them. We hope you have 710 regrets. lf you have
made mistakes may they serve as 'Learning signals to keep
you from greater pitfalls. May your successes spur you 011
toward the accomplishrrzeiit of still greater achiefuemeizts. Le!

lt's jolly to he young, and to be young is to he jolly! And so the juniors, who are both
young and jolly, lind school an entrancing lark which is only sobered by an occasional six
weeks' test.
But howeyer joyous a year ol' school may be, it is wise to choose leaders who have the
ahility to lead as well as to play, jlohn Kyle was selected as the ringleader, and the valiant
lDeWayne Guernsey was called upon to play the part of his assistant. The little playfellow
who needs must keep tab on the activities of this elferyescent group was Rose Webster, and
Waya 'lirunnell saw that there was enough money in the treasury so that a good time could
be had by all.
As merry-making seemed to be the theme ot' this happy class, 'l'he Royal lfamilyf' a
superbly produced comedy, coached by Miss Zelda Pm. Davis, was presented on April first,
lnto their parts .lean Sloan, Betty Ruth jordan, and Don Baldwin seemed to he fitted with
perfection. They were supported by Kathleen Adams, Robert Mexdorf, Bruce Robertson.
Wir! lloxie. llelen Sohner. Burdette Anderson, Russell Schneider, john Kyle, lfarlene llook.

liven the depression was unable to cope with the yiyaciousness ol' the junior class, and,
true to form, the -lunior-Senior Banquet, the Mecca of all social dreams, was linanced and
consummated.
,Ns the classmen pass from the gayer, to the soberer phase, of school life, the junior class
wishes to express its deepest appreciation and gratitude to Bliss Knoche, class advisor, for her
part in making this junior year one ol' the most enjoyable within our memory.

A comhined liast-West eleven met the Coe lirosh at Mississippi Valley Park
on 'lilianksgiying Day and hattled them to a scoreless tie. The freshmen were
strong. heavy. and last, hut the Fast-West team showed them real fight. The con-
test was sponsored by the junior Chamber of Commerce, and the proceeds went
to charity. 'l'he game proved a big drawing card, and everyone went away satis-

SITCTIONAL TOURNAMENT
EAST - CFDA R FALLS
Playing their first tournament game, the Fast lligh quintet did not show up so well in
the lirst half. llowever. in the latter part they started playing better basketball, and along
with a good man to man defense, they easily downed the Falls aggregation
EAST - J ESUP
.Ndvancing into the second round of the tournament, the boys met slesup, who proved
to be their Waterloo. .lesup started the scoring on a field goal, but liast quickly scored,
and from then on the lirst halt' was very even. llovvever, in the second halt' klesup started in
playing better basketball, and at the end of the third quarter was leading by a safe margin.
During the second half Fast started a rally and soon was only two points behind. .X few
minutes before the game ended our boys began to hit the basket from all angles, but the
gun sounded a bit too soon, and -lesup left the floor, victor by a count.
