June Class june, lEl2i5! and another class is about to graduate from East High School. just another graduating class to some-but to us it is the final attainment of a desire six years old. Six years ago our class entered East, even then dreaming of the senior year. Since then there have been many changes. XYe have been somewhat diminished in numbers but improved in quality. A few of the old faces have gone while others have joined our ranks. Our hrst two years at East were little different from our years spend in grade school. Things were a little vague to us and we had very little school spirit although we did feel that we were at last growing up. Vlfith our freshman year came an awakening. Still rather unknown, we were, however, a real part of the school life. XYe were even recognized by the upper classmen by having our names in the annual. In our tenth year we began to enter into the activities of the school. lVe were held in a little more respect-especially by the poor freshies -and we began to look forward to the next two years of high school when we would be looked-up to and respected by the whole school -those next two years which seemed then so far distant. As juniors we were ready to conquer the world. VVe looked with scorn upon those beneath us, and even regarded the seniors with a certain amount of smug pity, perhaps not unmixed with envy-pity because they were to leave school days behind so soon: envy because they were our superiors. But, alas, these years have come and gone too quickly, and now we are about to join the alumni of East High. Our senior year has been a happy and successful one. Our class has tried to carry on, to be a credit to those before us. And now as we are about to graduate we are looking forward to the life which stretches ahead of us and hoping that it will be as happy and successful as our school life for the past six years has been at East High School. -Lois Killqnrr. ll
