They continued the show by singing in different languages about Christmas around the world. In February they performed in the Olympic League Festival along with the choirs from Central, South, and North Kitsap. The choirs combined into a mass choir consisting of about 350 voices. Since this group is one of the best sophomore choirs that Bre- merton High has ever had, they are the basis for our future choirs. , ,.?'M 4 f . ir 759,11 n 5? pf ' if. K - cyyp 1

Offieers: Pres. Terri Riee.. Yiee. Marjorie Barth. See. Trina Fish:-r The eombination of East and Wvest brought together fifteen East High girls, and I0 West High girls, forming the Bremerton High Sehool Ghansonettes. Despite a three-month hassle over outfits, we've turned into a highly eompetitive group. Those of us who had not experienced George Mantzke's particular brand of teaching had some trying moments. but they've recovered. We have kept one old Ghoralette eustom. that of the sandwieh party fone way to get on Georgeis good sidej. when we're not having sandwich parties fany exeuse will doj, we do sing onee in awhile, on key even. Christmas was an extremely busy time for us, and when that was over, we went to Solo and En- semble Gontest. WH- split into two groups and one sextet, and pulled down two superior ratings and one excellent rating. Big Contest and the Gresham Jazz Festival were a big success. Gresham involved an overnight trip to Portland, Oregon, where we were good little girls and stayed in our hotel rooms all night. Riiight!! FRONT ROW: Syd Morris. Kellie Davis. Lisa Jensen, Kim Brown.
