Ron Manley , Wascowitz ,L Four East High students were for- 4-1- Brian Copley Seabeck tunate in being able to attend the Leadership Conferences held at Seabeck and Waskowitz. The pur- pose of these summer conferences is to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the workings of student government. Lectures and individual discussions offer the stu- dents an opportunity to gain many helpful ideas which can be applied to the performance of their own of- ficial duties. John Tracy Seabeck Pauline Alley Wascowitz Girls' State Gwen Harrell Arna Wang The primary value of Boys' and Girls' State is to afford students practical experience in the per- formance of official duties on the state, county, and city levels. This year Boys' State was again held on the Pacific Lutheran University campus in Parkland and Girls' State was held on the Central Washing- ton campus in Ellensberg.
