Vocational Ed The manual skills are developed significantly through the Shop Department. The students are able to gain practical experience in such skills as drafting, woodworking, and other individual pro- iects which lead toward a chosen vocational goal. The shop provides an excellent background for a wealth of training and experience to benefit the student who intends to follow a vocational prep- aration course. The Homemaking Department stresses skills of an- other kind. It attempts to prepare the student for the responsibilities and duties of a household and family. The homemaking classes present the stu- dent with certain responsibilities and duties simi- lar to those they will be faced with in later years. lts value as a preparation for later life is undeni- able.
