is Congratulations to our third graduating class ot East High. We are proud of you and your accomplishment, and it has been a real pleasure to know and work with you. lt is our hope that the experiences and knowledge you have gained at East will contribute considerably toward success in your chosen field of endeavor. Good scholarship, citizenship, sportsmanship and lasting tra- ditions are paramount to any high school. You have helped this school become more endowed with such high ideals. I encourage the underclassmen who return to East for one, two or three years, to work hard, play hard and enioy your remaining years in school. They will be re- membered among your most enioyable. lt is essential we all strive to make our school one which we can always think of with pride. Dwight Scheyer 'T' 4 . With the third year of East's existence rapidly coming to a close l find it interesting to pause and consider what we have accomplished since September of l956. We have graduated 284 seniors, we have developed more than our share of outstanding scholars, we have turned out rapidly improving musical organizations and athletic teams, other student groups have contrib- uted to the community. This accomplishment can be attributed to three things. First, our administration has been consistently improving and expanding the curricu- lum. Secondly, we have a faculty second to none, and finally, an enormous amount of the credit must go to the spirit of the students themselves. East l-ligh came into existence with fine student spirit.
