4 Mx . I me . . The Senior Ball for the class of '59 was held in the high school cate- torium, January 24. The setting was a winter scene accented with green and white fir trees and a large blue and silver sleigh decorat- ing the stage, miniature sleighs were on the tables. Barbara Larson and Sam Throm were chosen senior couple at intermission. The com- mittee chairmen who helped make this year's dance a success were Penny Monaghan, Melanie Herrall, Pat Halstead, Rod Scheyer, and Sandy Towne. This was another event long to be remembered. J l 1 Q R2 A SR L YQA ., Jlltddfbfldvt The most elaborate dance ofthe year was held March 28th in the East High Cafetoriurn. The theme, Mystic Sea was carried out through all the decorations. Fish nets were draped on the walls with colorful 'fish and marine murals. Fish lanterns hung from the ceiling lighted the room. Mist was blown across the floor giving a mystic sensation. Two mermaids held a scroll with all the seniors' names at one end of the room. The Olympic College Combo played with a large pink shell behind them. Joe Taylor and his group entertained. Twelve iuniors were elected before the dance to compete tor the Junior Couple, chosen at the dance. They were Diana Dewey, Janet l-Iartvigsen, Judy Kufifner, Sandy Mauer, Sharon Murray, Donna Rob- erts, Dave Alfred, Dennis Eno, Dick Johnston, Mere- dith Leismann, Dave McAboy, and Steve Swan- son.
