' Www ' The East High National Honor Society, under the skillful guidance ot Mr. Jones, enjoyed a very active program during 1958 and 1959. The club began by electing otticers and planning the year's program. The meetings were highlighted by speakers on mental health and student related topics. The purpose of the East High National Honor So- ciety is to encourage good scholarship among the students and to give recognition to those students who have achieved high scholastic standards. This year, for the hrst time, Sophomores were admitted on a probationary basis. The National Honor Society visited several colleges in this area during the school year and a field trip was planned for the spring.
