Thanks to the welcome extended by the faculty and upperclassmen at the beginning of the school year, Freshmen quickly got into the swing ot activities here at East. Fund raising proiects tor the year included a bake sale at the PTA. Back to School Night, doughnut sales in the main hall during both lunches, and an after school dance. The Freshman highlight of the Girls' Club Carnival was the Frosh Fish Pond. The class ot '62 plans to support the all-school proiect aimed at securing a suit ot armor as a mascot, Most of their savings, however, have been put into sate-keeping tor future use since they plan to be around for three more years! 32
