The purpose of the Honor Society is ”... to encourage the develop- ment of high scholarship, strong spirit of service, helpful leadership, and worthy character in the students of Rhode Island High Schools.” At an Honors Assembly held in May, the P. T. A. presented pins and certificates to the thirty-eight East High members.
