Fourteen Sq, orr President? M essczge WE GRADUATE from this school as a class which is proud of its accomplish- ments, for during the past three years we have attained degrees of success in every branch of the curriculum. I am sure that the record we have made will live in the annals of the school. We will always remember East Senior High School as the institution which has helped prepare us to face the future. We can no longer rely on our capable instructors, who have shown unlimited patience in helping us solve our problems. We shall now have our opportunity to make use of the lessons we have learned here. The application of our knowledge will prove the test of our success. Some of us may continue our education in higher institutions of learning, while others, less fortunate, must immediately start to earn a livelihood. Whichever our lot may be, I am confident that we will do all in our power to add honor to the Class of '49. 1 In behalf of the class officers I extend my best wishes for happiness and success to all the members of this graduating class. In attempting to reach our goal, I know that we of the Class of '49 will show the same enthusiasm, initiative, and high courage that characterized those other and more famous '49'ers in the quest for their El Dorado.
