ORIENTAL GARDENS Adding to the pleasures of East I-Iigh's Homecoming this year was a rousing 14 to O victory over our trad- itional foe, Garfield. Both the game and the annual dance, sponsored by Student Council, were highlights of the fall season. The theme, Oriental Gardens, was depicted in a cherry blossom pink and organdy white crepe paper ceiling and in a sparkling fountain which overlook- ed a Chinese footbridge. As the Chick Hackett Band played, the Queen and her courtwere introduced Escorting Alice was Mike Rea. Senior attendants and their escorts were Cathy Callahan-Bill Snyder, Mable England- Robert Rice, Deloris Mehok-Jerry Be- resg Deon Stiggers-Otis Johnson. .Tu- nior and Sophomore attendants, June Jernigan and Sue Fisher, were accom- pained by Joe DeAngelis and Bill Tal- bot respectively. 110
